Punjab AAP’s legal cell incharge Himmat Shergill gets Defamation Notice from own party MP

Chandigarh: Aam Aadmi Party’s parliamentarian Harinder Singh Khalsa yesterday shot a legal notice to AAP’s Punjab state legal cell chief Advo. Himmat Singh Shergill. The notice asks Shergill to show evidence of alleged financial deal of Harinder Singh Khalsa with Punjab’s ruling party Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal). During a press conference few days back Himmat Shergill had alleged that party MP Harinder Singh Khalsa was working against the AAP at the behest of Badals as he had allegedly entered into a deal with Badals.

Harinder Singh Khalsa said he had served a defamation notice to Shergill on his claims before mediapersons here a few days ago that Khalsa was bought by the Badals to work for anti-party activities. Shergill had claimed in the press conference that he had ‘solid information’ about the deal, which he would share with the leadership.

Former IFS officer and second time MP Harinder Singh Khalsa in his notice asked Shergill to furnish the “evidence” within 24 hours of receipt of this notice or tender an “unconditional apology for making false and reckless allegations”.
