Chandigarh/ Punjab: Hindutva fountainhead Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS) has put Punjab on radar. In an unusual move RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat is making frequent visits to Punjab.
Mohan Bhagwat will be re-visiting Punjab from September 24. He is expected to hold meetings at Ludhiana and Amritsar on September 24 and 25 respectively.
This will be Bhagwat’s fourth visit to the state since March. He had earlier visited Fazilka, Mansa and Khanna.
Motivated by their chief’s visit the RSS pracharaks have fanned out into the villages.
Bhagwat’s meetings with RSS volunteers are held in secrecy, away from the media glare.
As per media reports the Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal) is keeping a watch on the RSS chief’s visits.
“Already, a cold war is on between the two alliance partners with each trying to make inroads into the other’s vote bank. ” notes The Tribune.
