SGPC chief Objects to Indian Government’s stand against Sikh Genocide 1984 motion passed by Ontario Parliament

Amritsar: Shiromani Gurdwara Prabhandak Committee (SGPC) chief Kirpal Singh Badungar has objected to Indian government’s stand against the passing of Sikh Genocide 1984 motion by Ontario parliament.

Notably, the provincial parliament of Ontario had adopted, on April 06, a motion extending official recognition to the fact of Sikh Genocide 1984.

A representatives of Government of India’s (GoI) Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) had criticised the motion claiming that the Indian government “rejects” the motion. (read more: Sikh Genocide 1984 Motion in Ontario Parliament Upsets Indian State & its Supporters)

While interacting with media-persons yesterday (April 8) the SGPC chief said that Indian government’s stand against the Sikh Genocide 1984 motion was condemnable. He demanded that the Indian government should apologise for Sikh Genocide of 1984.
