Sikh Diaspora passing through critical time and phase: Dal Khalsa

Hoshiarpur, Punjab: Terming it another setback to Sikh Diaspora, the Dal Khalsa said after explosion in German Gurdwara last week, the daylight murder of Sardar Soran Singh, legislator of Imran Khan’s party and former head of the PSGPC in his native village in the Buner valley has jolted the community.

The funeral of adviser to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief minister Soran Singh was offered today at his hometown of Pir Baba. Thousands attended the funeral that includes local members of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf and Sikh community.

Dal Khalsa senior activists Satnam Singh Paonta Sahib, Dr Manjinder Singh and Ranbir Singh said Soran Singh would always be remembered for what he did for his community and country ( Pakistan).

Expressing their grief and condolences to the family members of the deceased, they said their colleagues in abroad has conveyed their worries and concerns about the well being of Pak Sikhs to the Nawaz Sharif government.

We realize that the Pakistan was facing the brunt of terrorism, which has taken the heavy toll of lives of Muslims over there. However, the government and the security forces have to do much more to instill confidence in the minds of minorities who were being targeted deliberately to create fear psychosis in them.

Acknowledging that CM KP Khattak has given orders to arrest the culprits within 24 hours, they said the enemies of humanity needs to be dealt with iron hands and firm resolve.
