A three-member SIT headed by Additional Director General of Police IPS Sahota has concluded that the bus owned by a company owned by Punjab’s ruling family members was not involved in the accident. While referring to state and central forensic science laboratories’ reports the police investigation team says that the front of an i20 car may have hit the rear of Swaran Singh’s scooter.

Notably two witnesses had deposed before the police that the accident was caused by a Dabwali Transport Co’s speeding bus while an i20 had hit the road divider in effort to avoid a hit by the concerned bus. But the police claims that bus passengers had confirmed that the bus was not involved in the accident.
