UK Gurdwara vandalised with racist graffiti

London: A Sikh Gurdwara Sahib in Thornaby, UK was reportedly vandalised in racist graffiti. The Gurdwara Sahib named Shri Guru Nanak Gurdwara and Sikh Community Centre is located on Allensway. The vandalizers sprayed with graffiti which stated ‘white power’ and ‘Die Muslims’ among other racial words.

As per media reports, the matter is currently under police investigation. Notably, a few weeks ago thieves stole food and clothing from Sri Guru Nanak Gurdwara and the Sikh Community Centre.

A post by the Sikh Channel UK notes: “Cleveland Police are investigating the vandalism and are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with information to contact them.

The incident occurred sometime overnight from Tuesday into Wednesday, say police.

As reported, on Friday, August 14, at about 3pm a woman entered the same Gurdwara and stole a trolley containing food and clothing.

She is described as white with long blonde hair which was tied back in a ponytail and she was wearing a long black coat and black trousers.

The woman left the Gurdwara pushing the trolley in the direction of Leahope Court in Thornaby.
