Ludhiana: Aam Aadmi Party leader and senior Supreme Court lawyer Harwinder Singh Phoolka yesterday said the Centre should withdraw the Bharat Ratna conferred on former PM late Rajiv Gandhi as “he justified Sikh massacre 1984.”
Referring to Gandhi’s statement on assassination of his mother Indira Gandhi, ‘Whenever a big tree falls, the earth shakes’, Advocate HS Phoolka said, “Rajiv Gandhi in his first speech after the massacre of Sikhs justified the killings by making this statement. Such a person doesn’t deserve to be given Bharat Ratna.”
