Chandigarh: A day after Punjab’s Deputy CM Sukhbir Badal gave a statement to media that Pakistan’s ISI was allegedly trying to eliminate political leaders in the state, the Aam Aadmi Party yesterday slammed Sukhbir for allegedly hatching a conspiracy to get Aam Aadmi Party leaders eliminated and put the blame on ISI.
Addressing a press conference at People’s Conference Centre, Sector 36, Chandigarh on August 11 AAP legal wing incharge and party candidate from Mohali Himmat Singh Shergill said Sukhbir Badal’s statement was sign of his frustration.
“Neither Sukhbir talked about the ISI plans to target leaders in Punjab in the past over nine years of the SAD-BJP government’s tenure, nor there were any such attempts, how come he has got this information now, when only few months are left in elections for the state assembly?” Shergill asked, while adding that the AAP volunteers believe that Sukhbir was actually planning to get AAP leaders, including Kejriwal, eliminated.
