Punjab is facing deepening ground water crisis. Around 80% of rural development blocks of Punjab are overexploited in terms of extraction of ground water as compared to ground water recharge. Agriculture and Environment Awareness Center (AEAC) organized a “Water Conservation Discussion” at Meeting Hall, Gurdwara Fatehgarh Sahib on 17 May 2022. Speaking during this occasion S. Malkeet Singh Basant Kot enumerated possible steps which could help in overcoming the Punjab ground water depletion crisis.
