Amritsar/ Pathankot (April 26, 2014): Drugs abuse has grown as a big problem in Punjab. Various studies suggest that majority of Punjab youth is in death grip of very harmful drugs. Though there has been occasional seizure of huge quantity of drugs being smuggled into Punjab from Indo-Pak international border in Punjab, the drug trade has been growing almost unchecked.

New Delhi, India (April 24, 2014): It is learnt that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) founder Arvind Kejriwal is declared as the most influential person in Time magazine’s readers poll of 100 Most Influential People in the world with the highest percentage of ‘yes’ votes. Arvind Kejriwal pipped BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi and American singer Katy Perry.
Dal Khalsa spokesperson Kanwar Pal Singh, in a written press release sent to the Sikh Siyasat News (SSN), said: [e]very election puts struggling nations and their representative bodies in a fix as they debate their participation mindful of the pitfalls that such elections have inbuilt in them.
Professor Gurbhagat Singh who recently passed away after a debilitating stroke was a genius, not born but self-made.
