December 10, 2012 | By

Ludhiana (December 10, 2012): According to a press release sent to Sikh Siyasat News (SSN) by Habib Yousafzai: Senior Hurriyat member and Chairman Islamic Political Party (JK) Mr.Mohammad Yousuf Naqash in a statement to the press has said that 10 December is the day of mourning for Indian occupied Kashmir as this day rubs salt to their injuries remembering them about the continuous disrespect and trampling of their inherent human rights including Right to Self-Determination (recognized and ensured by United Nations Organization) by Indian Government.

The press release that has been reportedly released by Malik Shabir, Press Secretary of Islamic Political Party (JK) further reads as: Indian government besides depriving Kashmiris from their inalienable Right to Self-Determination is continuously perpetuating worst kind of human rights abuses through its more than seven hundred thousand troops. Kashmir under forced and illegal occupation and oppression of India has been converted in to a desert and hell by Indian forces.

In just past 22 years more than one hundred thousand Kashmiris regardless of age and gender have been mercilessly done to death. More than Ten thousand have been subjected to enforced disappearance whose whereabouts are not known. Thousands aged minor and young are suffering in Indian jails reeling under intolerable torture and pain. Chastity of women folk is violated. Death and destruction is dancing in the nook and corner of Kashmir. Life of Kashmiris is under constant threat and future uncertain. The brutal and naked state terrorism is perpetuated to break the strong resolve for mission freedom and amounts to utter violation of human rights recognized by world apex body United Nations Organization. Mr.Naqash appealed world community in general and United Nations Organization (UNO) in particular to make sure on this day (if it really means to observe this day in letter and spirit for upholding the sanctity of human rights) that Kashmiris human rights including Right to Self -Determination deprived to them by Indian government and its forces are restored and ensured to them at an earliest in accordance with United Nations Charter, Universal Declaration of Human Rights, International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights.
