Bathinda, Punjab (September 02, 2014): Punjab chief minister Parkash Singh Badal has once again hit at the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) saying that AAP has lost credibility in Punjab. He dismissed the claim of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) to form a government in Punjab after 2017 assembly elections and said that it was like ‘living in a fool’s paradise’.

While referring to results of recent by-elections in Punjab Parkash Singh Badal said that the AAP’s fate is clear as it’s candidates lost their security deposits during by polls.

“Talking to media-persons during his thanksgiving tour of Talwandi Sabo assembly segment, Badal said that the AAP candidates lost their security deposits in the Talwandi Sabo and Patiala by-elections, which was an indicator enough to make AAP workers realise that the party had lost its credibility in Punjab and was near oblivion” a news by Hindustan Times (HT), reads.

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) had a surprising début in Punjab during Lok Sabha election held back in April. The first-timer party had secured four out of thriteen Parliamentary seats in Punjab. But it’s candidates lost the by-elections held at Patiala and Talwandi Sabo constituencies last month. In bypolls the AAP lost considerable number of votes from both assembly segments as compared to Lok Sabha elections.

Political analysts say that AAP has failed to address local issues of Punjab. Moreover there was little progress in organizational structure of Aam Aadmi Party in Punjab.
