“Those families using more than 400 units will have to pay the entire bill,” said Sisodia.

AAP leader and Delhi Dy-CM Manish Sisodia also announced that the AAP government will waive off water and sewer charges for families using 20,000 litres of water.

The AAP leader said, the Delhi Jal Board has a helpline number (1916), which people can use to register their complaints.

It may be recalled that Delhi CM Kejriwal had recently said that the AAP government would cut power tariffs and launch free water scheme “very soon”.

In its manifesto, AAP had promised to cut power tariffs by 50 percent immediately after coming to power and said the rates would be revised on the basis of the findings of a CAG audit which the Arvind Kejriwal government had announced during its first stint.

The previous AAP government had introduced free water scheme but it was discontinued after it quit.

As per reports Arvind Kejriwal also met Comptroller and Auditor General of India Shashi Kant Sharma and discussed the status of scrutiny of finances of private power distribution companies by the auditor which was ordered by the AAP government during its first stint.
