Holla Mohalla celeberations begin at Anandpur Sahib; Conferences on March 5, Mohalla on March 6

Sri Anandpur Sahib: Sikh festival of ‘Holla Mohalla’ began today at Sri Anandpur Sahib. Lakhs of Sikhs are expected to visit the historic city and the ‘birthplace’ of the Khalsa during these three days.

Dashmesh Pita Guru Gobind Singh had initiated the order of the Khalsa at Anandpur Sahib in 1699.

The Holla procession would be taken out by Nihangs (Sikh warriors), who represent the army of Guru Gobind Singh, on the March 6.

Several political parties will also organise their conferences at the Anadpur Sahib on March 05.

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) will be holding its first conference at the festival, where as the Congress party has announced not to hold conference at Holla Mohalla this year.
