SGPC member Nirmal Singh Gharachon killed in mishap

Sangrur: SGPC member Nirmal Singh Gharachon was yesterday killed in a road mishap. He was 52 years old. The accident took place near Ladha village on Sangrur-Dhuri road when the TATA Indica car, in which he was travelling, collided with a truck.

Ramandeep Singh, who was travelling with him, was injured in mishap. The police has reportedly arrested the truck driver.

Nirmal Singh Gharachon is survived by wife, a daughter and a son. He was elected to the SGPC from Sangrur in 2004 on the SAD (Mann) ticket, while for the second time he was elected to SGPC on the SAD ticket from Sangrur in 2011.
