Social Media Mocks Water Bus Initiative as Images of “Harike Water Cruise” Goes Viral

Chandigarh: Netizens today trolled Punjab Deputy Chief Minister’s Water bus ‘initiative’ as the images of Harike Water Cruise’ went viral today. Actually, the water buses were set to be tired today after it was postponned yesterday due to low water levels at Harike headworks. But the trial could not be held even today as, according to media reports, water level was still low to hold the trial of the buses.
However these buses remained topic of discussion over the social media. Many people posted photographs of Harike Water Cruise along with water buses which run in other countries to show the alleged ‘desi’ look of the buses.
Notably, Deputy CM in one of his speeches had disclosed his plans to run water buses in the state but his statement was mocked by opponents and netizens. Many people believe that the Punjab government is proceeding to run these buses just to prove that what Sukhbir Badal had said was in-fact feasible.
