Punjabi Singer Raj Brar Passes Away; Raj Brar’s song ‘Punjab’ was one of initial Punjabi songs on 1984

Chandigarh: Punjabi Singer Raj Brar died today in the evening at Govt Medical College And Hospital Chandigarh.
After complaining of unease and nausea he was immediately taken to GMCH Sector 32 were he breath his last. His last rites will be performed at his native place in Moga.

Raj Brar song Punjab in Kaniyan album was one of the songs by leading Punjabi singers presenting narrative of Punjab’s tragedy including the 1947 partition, June and November 1984 Ghallugharas and fake encounters of Punjab youth by Indian state’s forces thereafter.
