Jalandhar: After the Punjab unit of the Aam Adami Party made the announcement to overhaul the party structure following the defeat in the state assembly elections around three month ago, the convener of the state unit Bhagwant Mann here on Wednesday said the ground work for a new organisational set-up had been done and the main positions would be announced within 15 days.
While addressing a press conference here Bhagwant Mann along with co-convener Aman Arora in a joint statement reportedly said that ” both of us had toured almost all Lok Sabha seats and held meetings with volunteers. “By now, we are familiar with all hardworking activists of the party and have observed their activities and leadership skills. The new state office-bearers, presidents of five zones (including three in Malwa and one each in Doaba and Majha), districts, blocks, wards and villages will be from among such dedicated workers.”
”The process was taking time as the Vidhan Sabha session came in between and the MLAs got busy in the process, adds Bhagwant Mann.
On changes in the selection of candidates for the Municipal Corporation elections, Mann said, “A selection committee would be formed,” reports The Tribune (TT).
