Shahkot By-Poll: 227 Micro Observers Deputed

Chandigarh: The Election Commission has appointed 227 Micro Observers in Shahkot assembly constituency for the by-poll.

Spokesman of the Commission said that all arrangements for the by-election have been completed and 283 presiding officers, 1133 polling officers, 19 counting micro observers, 17 counting supervisors and 17 assistant counting supervisors have also been deputed in the constituency.

Polling for Shahkot state assembly will be held on May 28 and the result will be announced on May 31.

Apart from this, 32 class four employees also been appointed for the election process. He said that nearly 4,000 officers and employees and total 307 teams have been deputed in the constituency for smooth conduct of the election.
