Moga: The Punjab police today presented 6 dera Sirsa premis in the court Chief Judicial Magistrate (Moga). The court sent all six persons, namely Sukhjinder Singh Sunny, Baljit Singh, Ranjit Singh Bhola, Nishan Singh (quartet from Kotkapura), Randip Singh Neela and Shakti Singh on police remand till 16 June.
These dera premis are arrested in a 2011 arson case. According to police documents accessed by the Sikh Siyasat News (SSN) these dera premis are arrived in case FIR No. 33 dated 7 March 2011 registered under sections 283, 353, 386, 427, 323, 436, 148, 149 and 120B of Indian Penal Code (IPC), provisions of Damage to Public Property Act 1984 and sections 25, 27, 54, 59 Arms Act.
The FIR is related to arson committed by Dera Sauda Sirsa followers at Kotkapura ByePass more in which a PRTC bus PB 11 N – 0872 was burned by armed dera followers.
The police maintained in the court that these persons were also behind the theft of Guru Granth Sahib from Burj Jawahar Singh Wala village on June 01, 2015 and Beadbi of Guru Granth Sahib at Bargari village on October 12, 2015.
There were reports that the police have picked up Dera followers who are suspected to be behind the theft of Guru Granth Sahib from Burj Jawahar Singh Wala and Bargari beadbi incident.
