Chandigarh: Punjab CM Amarinder Singh has defended 1984 Sikh Genocide suspect Kamal Nath once again. In a written statement issued on December 14 (copy with SSN) Congress CM in Punjab says that reference to Kamal Nath in Nanawati Commission report was not a proof of his involvement in “1984 riots”. Notably, besides defending Kamal Nath, the pro-Indian state politician has used the term ‘riot’ to refer to ‘1984 Sikh genocide’.
It may be noted here that Congress party’s decision to seat Kamal Nath as Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh has invited strong criticism from the Sikhs in wake of the fact that Kamal Nath faces allegations of instigating massacre of the Sikhs in Delhi during 1984 Sikh Genocide.
Amarinder Singh also defends another Sikh genocide 1984 accused Jagdish Tytler. He even defended Rajiv Gandhi who was one of the key persons in perpetrating the 1984 Sikh Genocide.
