Chandigarh: The Punjab and Haryana High Court has told the Punjab chief secretary to hand over Part 2 of Justice Gurnam Singh Commission’s inquiry report on Saka Nakodar case to the counsel of family members of Sikh youth who were killed in police firing at Nakodar 33 years ago.

Justice Mahanbir Singh Sidhu led bench of the High Court heard the petition filed by Bapu Baldev Singh Littran, father of Bhai Ravinder Singh- one of four youths who were killed by the police on 4 February 1986.
The HC judge reportedly pulled up the Punjab government for not handing over the documents related to Justice Gurnam Singh Commission’s report to the petitioner.

Bapu Baldev Singh’s council Advocate Hari Chand said that the court has directed the Punjab chief secretary to hand over Part 2 of Justice Gurnam Singh Commission’s inquiry report with in seven days. He said that the court has fixed 22 July as next court date for hearing the case.
