Chandigarh: An FIR is registered against former Punjab police chief Sumedh Sahini at Mataur police station in Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar (Mohali).
Case FIR Number 77/2020 PS Mataur is not yet uploaded on the district police website.
The Sikh Siyasat News (SSN) has obtained a copy of this FIR which reveals that a case u/sections. 364, 201, 344, 330, 219 and 120B of IPC is registered against following accused persons:-
(1) Sumedh Singh Saini (former DGP),
(2) DSP Balde Singh Saini,
(3) SI Savir Singh,
(4) SI Harsahai Sharma,
(5) SI Jagir Singh,
(6) SI Anoop Singh,
(7) Kuldeep Singh, and
(8) unknown police personnel.
The FIR is registered on Complaint of Palwiner Singh Multani s/o Late Darshan Singh Multani. The complainant Palwinder Singh is brother of Balwant Singh Multani who was abducted by Punjab police in 1991 and was eliminated thereafter and was declared an absconder in police records.
