On Bombay HC’s Verdict on Fact Check Unit under PIB (MeITY), Social Media and Freedom of Expression

Recently Bombay High Court struck down a new rule passed by the Central Government of India to establish Fact Check Unit under the Public Information Bureau (PIB) under Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. The rule was inserted in 2023 by amending IT Rules 2021.
