Description:

In June 2013 Senior Journalist, Kanwar Sandhu and Day and Nigh News (a 24×7 News channel) presented a nine episode long documentary titled Operation Blue Star — the Untold Story.

This was first effort of it’s kind to present a detailed document on the June 1984 armed attack by Indian army, on Sri Darbar Sahib, Amritsar (and other Sikh Gurdwaras in Punjab and adjoining states) on TV screen.

Kanwar Sandhu, being a journalist attempted to present his documentary in a well referenced manner, while citing due references to Government Documents, Police or intelligence agencies’ interrogation reports, eye-witness accounts and other publishes documents or books.

This effort was different from the Indian media’s portrayal of June 1984 events in many ways. At the end of this series Kanwar Sandhu left some questions and asked the audience, especially the Sikhs to deliberate on it.

Keeping in mind the significance of these episodes SikhSiyasat.Com decided to take up this issue in it’s Talk-show program “Qaumi Masle”.

Sikh Scholar and writer S. Ajmer Singh and retired senior journalist (UNI) S. Jaspal Singh Sidhu participated in these talk-shows, that were conducted by host Baljeet Singh.

This is the second (and last) Episode on this issue.
