Jharkhand, Bihar (October 07, 2013): In a statement the Bihar Unit of All India Sikh Students Federation (AISSF) has strongly condemned the attack on Gurdwara Sahib during the ongoing agitation at Vijayanagaram in Andhra Pradesh and demanded action against the culprits. The miscreants had caused damage to the Sikh Gurdwara Sahib and burnt the Saroops of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji on Saturday (October 05, 2013).
In a letter to Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, AISSF (Bihar/Jharkhand) President Satnam Singh Gambhir demanded stringent action against the culprits who had attacked the Gurdwara Sahib and its priest on Saturday last.
Describing the incident as “black day in the history of Andhra Pradesh,” Gambhir said “attacking the holy places of worships would not solve any problem”. He said that a delegation would soon visit the state to take stock of the situation, he said.
