Arrested Dal Khalsa leader Kanwar Pal Singh released; Accuses Govt. for misusing powers

Amritsar, Punjab (December 04, 2013): Dal Khalsa spokesperson Kanwar Pal Singh, who was arrested by Amritsar police last night was reportedly release 2 PM today. He was arrested under 107/151, commonly called 7/51, a preventive detention clause.
After his release Bhai Kanwar Pal Singh wrote on his Facebook wall: “[m]isusing its power, Punjab government has committed a gross mistake by creating obstacles to foil the March. Unfortunately, the government has tried to curb the socio-religio rights of the Sikhs. I was taken into custody by Amritsar police previous night at 10 PM under section 7/51 and released today at 2 PM after the March left the Amritsar city”.
