Jammu (Press Release): Sikhs across the world feel it is concerning, to say the least, that a young Sikh from Jammu has been killed by the Police in an incident that has happened in the year 2015, and not 1984. There is no wonder why it is making them think nothing much has changed 31 years later. Perhaps the distressing images of the young Sikh’s dead body that have surfaced, in modern times India, is a perfect example of why Sikhs around the world find it impossible to even contemplate the absurd idea of “moving on” from 1984?
Panthic Parcharak Baba Ranjit Singh Khalsa Dhadrianwale has visited the family of Shaheed Bhai Jagjeet Singh Ji Jammu to express deep grief over his killing at the hands of the Jammu Police.
The young unarmed Sikh attained martyrdom on 4 June 2015 in Jammu after being shot in the head whilst protesting against the removal of posters showing the image of the twentieth century’s Saint Soldier Sant Baba Jarnail Singh Ji Khalsa Bhindranwale.
On Saturday 6 June 2015 at the Parmeshar Dwar Annual 1984 Massacre Remembrance Diwaan, Baba Ranjit Singh Khalsa gave a rousing speech of the facts surrounding the events of 1984 and the many misconceptions about Sant Jarnail Singh Ji Khalsa Bhindranwale advocated over the years by propagandists.
“Whilst those who attempted to spread dirt about the Saint Soldier became dirt themselves, in contrast, it is amazing how 31 years later even Sant Jarnail Singh Ji’s photos are treasured.”

They requested those ignorant brothers and sisters who simply accept biased propaganda, as well as those members of intelligence agencies (likely to be present at the Diwaan) to study Sikh history, read independent reports and the look at the events surrounding the 1984 period to form an unbiased opinion of the Saint Soldier.
“There is a reason why these Diwaans take place in their remembrance, there is a reason why 31 years later people are still ready to take bullets for even their photo.”
The thousands who had attended from areas all across Punjab were left with a tear when learning of the last moments of the Singh’s during the night of 5 June and morning of 6 June 1984, as they were attaining martyrdom, one by one, with smiles on their faces to protect Sri Akal Takht Sahib.
It is unfortunate that the majority of Sikh Parcharaks in India fear mentioning the name of Sant Jarnail Singh Ji on stages, but Baba Ranjit Singh Khalsa categorically stated that if all of today’s modern-day Parcharaks were put together, they would not be comparable to even the dust of Sant Jarnail Singh Ji’s feet. The Saint Soldier was a fearless epitome of truth who did what he said.
Baba Ranjit Singh Khalsa explained that ‘Dharam’ is higher than ‘Rajneeti’, that it is the Dharamik people who should take knowledge from Guru Granth Sahib Ji to aid their decision making process and have control over the politicians, not the politicians advising the Dharmik people and having control over them. Such a flawed system can only result in detrimental consequences. Dharam should be within politics, not politics within Dharam. It was firmly advised that if Sikhs do not become alert to this, then huge damage will be done to the nation in due course.
The Diwaan was attended by tens of thousands and broadcast live online to millions. 675 people received Amrit. The live video recording will be made available online for download in the coming days and is a ‘must watch’ for anyone who has doubts about Sant Bhindranwale and the supreme sacrifice of the Sikhs during the 1984 battle of Amritsar.
