New Delhi: The five judges bench of Supreme Court of India (SCI) today ordered that the disputed land in Ayodhya must be given to Hindus to construct Ram Temple.
It further said that A suitable plot of 5 acres must be granted to Sunni Waqf Board to set up a Mosque. The SCI added that disputed land at Ayodhya must be given to a Board of Trustees for construction of Ram Mandir. Centre to formulate scheme within 3 months.
A five-judge Constitution bench, headed by Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi and comprising Justices S A Bobde, D Y Chandrachud, Ashok Bhushan and S Abdul Nazeer, said so while pronouncing judgement on appeals against the 2010 verdict of the Allahabad High Court, which ordered a three-way division of the disputed 2.77 acres between the Nirmohi Akhara sect, the Uttar Pradesh Sunni Central Waqf Board and Ramlalla Virajman.
