Badal and Amarinder are hand-in-glove to protect each other’s business and political interests: Kejriwal

November 24, 2016 | By

DIRBA: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal yesterday alleged that both SAD (Badal) led by Parkash Singh Badal and Punjab Congress led by Captain Amarinder Singh are hand in glove to protect each other’s business and political interests.

Speaking on the 4th day of his 11 days tour of Punjab, Arvind Kejriwal said recently just a month before Badal Government has withdrawn the corruption case against PPCC Chief Captain Amarinder Singh.

It was a favour reciprocating to Captain Amarinder Singh for his opposing CBI probe against Punjab Revenue Minister Bikram Singh Majithia for his alleged involvement in multi-crore drug racket, Kejriwal said adding that similarly when Captain Amarinder Singh was Chief Minister from 2002 to 2007, he had never acted against Badals for corruption cases against them.

Likewise, whole world knows that Amarinder and his family have stashed their ill-gotten money in their accounts in Swiss Bank, but Badal during his 10 year of tenure as CM, never acted against Captain Amarinder, Kejriwal said claiming that it clearly shows that both Badal and Captain Amarinder Singh are hand in glove and protecting each other’s political and business interests.

Delhi Chief Minister said that AAP Government would never tolerate corruption and has always worked against corrupt politicians and corruption in government offices.

“When I came to know that one of my ministers was trying to seek Rs Six lakh bribe, I immediately threw him out of my Cabinet,” Kejriwal said claiming that even the opposition as well as media did not have any clue about AAP’s minister’s corruption.

On the other hand, SAD (B) ministers Tota Singh and Bikram Majithia have been accused of corruption and drugs, but Badal failed to act against them, he said adding that similarly it is in common knowledge that Congress leaders Sajjan Kumar and Jagdish Tytler were involved in the anti-Sikhs massacre in 1984 at Delhi, but Congress failed to act against them.

“Even Captain Amarinder Singh had brazenly given clean chits to Jagdish Tytler and other accused Kamal Nath”, Kejriwal said.

National Convener of AAP said “Once AAP forms government in Punjab, we will not spare any corrupt leader, no matter how high and mighty he might be”.

“Once AAP comes in Power, people of Punjab will put Majithia into jail for shoving entire state into drug menace”, Kejriwal vowed.

Arvind Kejriwal said instead of registering cases against corrupt leaders, Badal Government is filing false cases and cane-charging Anganwari workers, teachers and service providers, who have been peacefully protesting to demand employment.
