Chandigarh/Mohali: A CBI court in Mohali sent three Dera Sauda Sirsa (DSS) followers to judicial custody till July 27. After the expiry of their police remand trio, namely Mohinder Pal Bittu, Shakti Singh and Sukhjinder Singh Sunny, were produced before the Special CBI on July 13. The CBI reportedly did not seek their further police remand.
As per reports the CBI had taken trio to Delhi for interrogation after obtaining their police remand from the CBI court on July 6.
Media reports say that cases related to theft of a Saroop of Guru Granth Sahib from Burj Jawahar Singh Wala village (June 2015) and beadbi of a saroop of Guru Granth Shaib at Bargari village (October 2015) were cracked by a Special Investigation Team (SIT) of Punjab police but the SIT did not arrest them in these cases as investigation of these matters was already handed over to the CBI.
The Punjab police reportedly shared details of SIT investigations with CBI after which the CBI took remand of 3 arrested dera followers.
