Bhai Amrik Singh Ajnala gets interim bail on health ground

Chandigarh: The Punjab and Haryana High Court on February 12 granted interim temporary bail on medical grounds to Bhai Amrik Singh Ajanala, who was declared as Jathedar of Takht Kesgarh Sahib by Sarbat Khalsa 2015.
“The petitioner will surrender before the jail authorities on February 24 at 10 am, subject to final decision in the present bail application,” Justice MMS Bedi ruled.

In his bail plea through counsel RS Bains, Bhai Amrik Singh was seeking interim bail on the ground that he was suffering from heart ailment.
Taking up the plea, Justice Bedi observed that Attari DSP has asserted that the petitioner was admitted to the hospital on January 15.
“I am of the opinion that, on account of the health conditions, the petitioner can be granted the concession of interim bail. The petitioner is ordered to be released on interim temporary bail till February 24,” Justice Bedi added.
