Amritsar: A portrait of Bhai Wariam Singh will be installed at ‘Kendri Sikh Ajayabghar’ (Central Sikh Museum) located in the precincts of Darbar Sahib, Amritsar. Bhai Wariam Singh had spent more than 25 years in Indian prisons before his release in 2015 after his arrest in April 1990 in relation to Sikh political movement of 1980s-90s.
In a written release issued today Giani Harpreet Singh, SGPC appointed acting Jathedar of Akal Takht Sahib, said that ‘in view of the sacrifice by that great person towards the Sikh struggle the SGPC has been instructed to install portrait of Bhai Wariam Singh in Central Sikh Museum.
