Patna Sahib/Chandigarh: To mark the 350th Prakash Gurpurab of Guru Gobind Singh ji, a three day ‘1st International Sikh Conclave’ is being organized from September 22 to September 24 at Patna Sahib.
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Punjab CM Parkash Singh Badal would attend the inaugural session of this conclave to be attended by more than two hundred Sikh personalities from across the globe. Governor of Bihar Mr. Ram Nath Kovind will attend the closing ceremony.
According to an official spokesman of Punjab Government, the International Sikh Conclave would be inaugurated on September 22 and on the second and last day of conclave 4 panel discussions associated with Sri Guru Gobind Singh ji and the Sikh community to be conducted. He said that the subjects of panel discussions to be organized on September 23 include ‘Sri Guru Gobind Singh – A poet par excellence, ‘Sri Guru Gobind Singh – A spiritual savior and crusader of rights’ and ‘Sikhism, a faith of love and humanity’, and on the last day of Conclave a session on ‘Contribution of Sikhs to the nation’ to be conducted. “Besides this, famous singers Mr. Rabbi Shergill and Mr. Diljit Dosanjh will also be performing at this event”, he added.
Spokesman further informed that addressing a press conference regarding 350th Prakash Gurpurab of Guru Gobind Singh ji and International Sikh Conclave, Chief Minister of Bihar Mr. Nitish Kumar Wednesday (September 21) said that Bihar Government has already paced up the preparations to celebrate this glorious and historic event at a large scale in coordination with Punjab government and Sikh organizations. He said that Bihar government has been fulfilling its duty to salute the great tenth Guru on his 350th Prakash Gurpurab.
The international delegates participating in the conclave are primarily from the United States of America, Canada, United Kingdom, New Zealand, Myanmar and Malaysia. The regional delegates include representatives from Punjab, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir and Telengana.
