BJP Seeks Ban on JNU Student Leader Umar Khalid’s Malerkotla (Punjab) Visit

Malerkotla: Local leaders of the Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) today submitted a memorandum to local administration in Sangrur demanding ban on the visit of Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) student leader Umar Khalid to Malerkotla.

Umar Khalid is scheduled to participate in a protest against controversial Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) in Malerkotla- a Muslim majority town in East Punjab, on January 3.
