USA: The resolutions adopted during North American Sikh Summit on Oct. 31, 2015 reads as follows:

Vahiguru ji ka Khalsa, Vahiguru ji ki Fateh!

The North American Sikhs representing around 100 Gurdwaras and Sikh organizations met to deliberate on Sikh crisis in Panjab.

We re-affirm our allegiance to Guru Granth Sahib and Guru Khalsa Panth gifted by Guru Nanak-Gobind Singh Sahib. We are a free nation graced by institutions of Miri-Piri. We are sovereign in all dimensions of existence, from faith to people.

1. We must develop a system to re-establish independent Akal Takhat based on Gurmat principles, free from all political parties and the state. We must establish qualifications and offices of Jathedar Akal Takhat Sahib with transparency and accountability. We must develop mechanism to hear voices of global 30 million Sikhs. We must uphold sanctity of Panj Piare institution.

2. We support the Guru-granted institution of the Sarbat Khalsa. Representatives of North American Sikhs will attend. We support the appointment of interim Jathedars on behalf of the Panth till Vaisakhi 2016. A proposed structure must be developed for new Jathedars by April 2016 when the next Sarbat Khalsa must be held. We appeal to all Sikhs to attend Sarbat Khalsa on 10 Nov 2015 regardless of the differing schools of thoughts or opinions.

3. We resolve to establish voice of North American Sikhs. Proposal is to include 2 representatives from Gurdwaras and Sikh organizations. The loose, non-hierarchal structure proposal will be discussed locally and finalized by April 2016.
