Curfew relaxed in Sirsa

Sirsa, Haryana, India (November 17, 2012): According to reports, curfew was relaxed in Sirsa on November 26, 2012. The curfew was relaxed for 12 hours, from 6am to 6pm. People come out of their houses during the relaxed hours and made necessary purchases.

There are reports that the security forces conducted a flag march in the city.

It is notable that on November 24, 2012 Dera Sauda Sirsa followers, numbered between 1800-2000, had attacked Sikhs near Valmiki Chowk in the city.

Curfew Relaxed in Srisa on November 26, 2012

According to a news report published in Daily Ajit, a Punjabi daily newspaper published from Jalandhar, the Kurkshetra University has postponed examination of B.A. for uncertain period of time.

There are reports that Sirsa district has been divided in 15 blocks and 15 Duty Magistrates have been deployed to keep watch over situation in respective blocks.

Administrative authorities have expressed satisfaction over the current situation in Sirsa as no incident of violence was reported from any part of the district. Authorities are hopeful that the normalcy shall soon return to Sirsa.
