Amb Sahib, Mohali (December 16, 2013): The organizers of Bandi Singh Rihai Morcha (Amb Sahib) in consultation with Bhai Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa have declared to hold district level protest demonstrations throughout Punjab. The demonstrations shall be conducted in peaceful manner and a memorandum shall be tendered to appropriate authorities demanding release of 6 Sikh political prisoners who are languishing in various jails of India despite completing the terms of their sentences (for more details click here).
Sikh Siyasat News (SSN) sources revealed that the decision to hold these dharnas was taken during a meeting held at morcha site (Gurdwara Amb Sahib, Mohali) on December 15, 2013.
Bhai R. P. Singh (Akhand Kirtani Jatha) said that all preparations to conduct the dharnas have been completed and they expect massive response from the Sikh masses.
“Sikh Sangat has realized the importance and urgency of the matter at hand and it is evident form the fact that the Sikh Sangat held protest marches or demonstrations on December 16 at Phagwara, Kartarpur, Jalandhar and Jummu on their own to support the cause of Sikh prisoners taken up by Bhai Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa” said Bhai Harpal Singh Cheema.
Baba Hardeep Singh Mehraj told SSN that Sikh sangat in large numbers came-out at Damdama Sahib, Muar, Mansa, Bhikhi, Sunam, Nabha, Bhadson, Fatehgarh Sahib and Landran to extend their support to the Bandi Singh Rihai March that was held from Damdama Sahib to Gurdwara Amb Sahib (Mohali) on December 16, 2013.
