Chandigarh: Sikh Siyasat News’ presents an exclusive report about probe of Behbal Kalan firing incident by People’s Commission led by Former Supreme Court of India judge – J. Markandey Katju. Punjab Police had opened fire at village Behbal Kalan on October 14, 2015 killing two Sikhs.
Soon after the incident of the police firing at Behbal Kalan village, the Punjab government had formed a probe commission headed by former judge Jora Singh but when this commission failed to start its probe with in the specified time, some human rights groups of Punjab formed a People’s commission headed by J. Markandey Katju.
Justice Markandey Katju visited village Behbal Kalan on January 30 and 31, 2016 to record the witnesses.
Sikh Siyasat’s team visited Behbal Kalan village three times between October 2015 to January 2016.
