Chandigarh: The Shiromani Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee (SGPC) today has reportedly appointed Giani Raghubir Singh as acting Jathedar of the takhat Shri Keshagarh Sahib, thus paving way for the retirement of current Jathedar Mal Singh who is said to be be suffering from ill health from quite sometime.
Giani Raghubir Singh has been rendering his services as a granthi in the Darbar Sahib complex in the past and is also said to be one of the Panj Pyare performing their respective duties at Shri Akal Takhat Sahib.
On being contacted by Sikh Siyasat News (SSN) Giani Raghubir Singh said ” I have not received any official communique in this regard from the SGPC, But have started reciving greetings and congratulatory messages from my social and peer group”.
