UPDATE ON THIS ISSUE: Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa’s condition stable now; Morcha leaders appeal sangat to refrain from believing rumours
Amb Sahib, Mohali (December 20, 20130: As per recent information received from the site of Bandi Singhs Rihai Morcha (Amb Sahib) Bhai Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa, who is on continuous hunger strike from November 14, 2013 has started facing difficulty in breathing.
Bhai Gurbaksh Singh’s health condition has turned serious. Some images posted on the facebook page Sikh Channel (UK) shows Bhai Gurbaksh Singh wearing an Oxygen mask.
It is notable that Bhai Gurbaksh Singh was low in Potassium in his body besides other grave symptoms of starvation.
Some infection was also detected in his kidneys but it was considered to be under control.
As per information Gurbaksh Singh’s condition was serious, and doctor was being called. More updates on his health were awaited at the time of writing these lines.
It may be recalled that Bhai Gurbaksh Singh is seekign release of 6 Sikh political prisoners languishing in Indian jails even after completing the terms of their sentences. The names of these six Sikh prisoners are Gurmeet Singh, Shamsher Singh, Lakhwinder Singh (in Burrail Jail since 1995), Lal Singh (arrested in 1992 – released on parole for six weeks on Dec. 20), Wariam Singh (arrested in 1990, Now in Bans Barely Jail) and Gurdeep Singh Khaira (in Gulbarg Jail, Karnatka since 1990).
