Sikhs observe Guru Nanak Sahib’s Parkash Gurpurb

Amritsar, Punjab (November 28, 2012): Guru Nanak Sahib’s Parkash Gurpurb was today celebrated by the Sikhs across the globe. In Punjab, Guru Sahib’s Gurpurb is observed in almost all Gurudwaras.

Thousands of Sikhs gathered in various historic Gurudwaras across the State to pay their obeisance to the founder of Sikh religion.

Guru Nanak Sahib was born in 1469 at a place named Rai Bhoye De Talwandi, now knows as Nankana Sahib in Pakistan.

There are reports that Sikhs from various countries are on pilgrimage to Pakistan to observe Parkash Gurpurb of Guru Nanak Ji.
