New Delhi: The Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee (DSGMC) General Secretary Manjinder Singh Sirsa on Thursday (June 28) said after the DSGMC issued legal notice to Haldiram Bhujiawala Ltd., the company apologised for the mistake of using picture of Darbar Sahib on its Namkeen packets and has assured that in future this will not happen.

Manjinder Singh Sirsa said he had received a reply from the legal representative of the company in which he had said company owner’s not aware of the fact that it is against the principles of Sikhism to use or display images of Gurudwara Sahib or any paintings/writings of Gurbani with things which are not connected to any sacred, religious or pious cause/purpose.
The DSGMC General Secretary further said his legal advisor has also clarified that has never been the intention of his client to defame, show disrespect Darbar Sahib in any manner.
