Chandigarh: As per information collected by the Sikh Siyasat News (SSN), Harminder Singh Mitto, who reportedly escaped from Maximum Security Jail in Nabha, Punjab on Sunday (Nov. 27) was facing trial in 10 cases.
Mintoo was grated bail in two cases – one at Gurdaspur and one at Jalandhar. The trial of another case was time bound by the Punjab and Haryana High Court.

Harminder Singh Mintoo’s lawyer Japal Singh Manjhpur told Sikh Siyasat News (SSN) that the Amritsar police was not initiating proceedings in Mintoo in a case at Amritsar. He said that though Harminder Singh Mintoo was detained at Nabha jail for past two years, the police was saying that according to their information Mintoo was still in Pakistan.
