Highlights of Detailed Exclusive Interview with Sikh Thinker Dr. Gurbhagat Singh

A detailed interview with Dr. Gurbhagat Singh was recorded in June 2011 in two sittings on two different days. In this interview he talked about his birth, childhood, family background, his early education, learning Gurmukhi, Gurbani, Punjabi and English, his college life intellectual activism, Bhootwara, his study and teaching experience in America, his reasons for returning Punjab, Khalistan, his scholarly and philosophical work, unique contribution of Sikhi in showing path for amicable and meaningful dialogue between different cultures, Jaap Sahib Model, Waheguru, Vismadi Poonji, Sikh revolution and meta-symbolism of Sikhi.

The full interview was released at Punjabi University Patiala on April 18, 2019 during a book release event held to release the compilation of thirty articles on Sikh Ethos and Sikh Philosophy published in book form under the title of “ਸਿੱਖ ਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਦਾ ਗੌਰਵ: ਪੱਛਮੀ, ਇਸਲਾਮੀ ਤੇ ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣੀ ਚਿੰਤਨ ਦੇ ਸਨਮੁਖ“.
