According to Hindustan Times (HT): [t]he police brought Jagdish Bhola to Civil Hospital for medical examination and later took him to an undisclosed place for intensive understanding.
“The Jalandhar police have been evading the media following Bhola’s sensational disclosures against Minister Bikram Majithia at a Mohali court” The Tribunes has noted.
Meanwhile, former Punjab DGP (Prisons) Shashi Kant said that he had feared this (police remand of Jagdish Bhola).
“I feared this. Now Bhola will be forced to change his statement” Shashi Kant said, while adding that it was “[n]ormal police technique to pressurize those who go into judicial remand”.
