New York: The makers of much debated “The Black Prince” movie have engaged in debate over historical facts related to the life and struggle of Maharaja Duleep Singh shown in the Hollywood bio-pic of Maharaja Duleep Singh. The Black Prince was released in three languages (English, Punjabi and Hindi) on July 21. It is bio-pic of Maharaja Duleep Singh, the last Maharaja of the Sikh Raj.
The makers of the movie have maintained that their movie is based on historical facts and it was preceded by in-depth historical research.
Notably, a Sikh author Dr. Harjinder Singh Dilgeer had dubbed the movie as a massive distortion of historical facts.
In a video reply to Dr. Harjinder Singh Dilgeer’s video, Jasjeet Singh (executive producer of The Black Prince movie) has rebutted Dr. Dilgeer’s arguments.
In his video Jasjeet Singh said that their movie is based on historical facts and he also disclosed the list of sources used for the movie.
In this video, Jasjeet Singh has replied, point by point to the objections raised by Dr. Harjinder Singh Dilgeer (Watch Full Video Above).
Jasjeet Singh said that even the Sikh historians have failed to do justice to Maharaja Duleep Singh. He said that in their movie they have tried to present Maharaja Duleep Singh from his own perspective. He said that the team of the Black Prince Movie was ready to engage in any debate about the historical facts shown in this movie.
