Manjit Singh GK want Badals to sever ties with BJP over 1984 justice denial

New Delhi: Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) chief and Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal)’s Delhi unit president Manjit Singh GK has accused the Narendra Modi-led NDA government for holding the same mindset as the Congress party on the issue of the 1984 Sikh genocide. GK has urged his party leadership to withdraw from the alliance with the Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) if the Centre does not act to provide justice to the victims of 1984 Sikh genocide.

Addressing media-persons in Delhi yesterday Manjit Singh GK said: “I reiterate it. Nothing is more important for me than justice to the 1984 carnage victims.”

DSGMC chief said the Centre should order a CBI inquiry into how a file related to SIT formed to probe the cases relation of Sikh genocide 1984 had mysteriously gone missing from the office of the then Delhi Government.

SAD (Badal) leader said that the Modi government has also not reopened the CBI inquiry into into those cases related of 1984 violence against the Sikhs, which were closed by the premier investigative agency of India.

He also urged his party high command to decide if a deadline was to be given to the Narendra Modi government for a fresh CBI inquiry or constitution of a Special Investigation Team into the riots.

GK also continued with his attack on Aam Aadmi Party led government in Delhi. He also alleged that the Delhi CM and AAM supremo Arvind Kejriwal was friendly with Sikh genocide accused and Congress party leader Jagdish Tytler.
