Minimum Support Price (MSP) hike for paddy inadequate: Punjab CM Badal

Chandigarh: Punjab CM today said that the eager hike in Minimum Support Price (MSP) of paddy as inadequate. While addressing Sangat Darshan program at Rajasansi assembly segment said that nominal hike in MSP of paddy was inadequate to bail out farmers from agrarian crisis.

Punjab CM also requested the Government of India (GoI) to constitute an expert group to make agriculture a remunerative preposition saying that farmer of Punjab needs special attention because in contrast with their peers across the country they treat their crop as their own child and pump in their all resources to nurture them.
