Murders of Sikhs in Pakistan: Police releases sketches of suspected culprits

Islamabad, Pakistan (September 11, 2014): According to Pakistani media reports the police have released sketches of two young men who are suspected of having murdered two Sikhs in the provincial capital in the past two months.

On September 6, 30-year-old Harjeet Singh was tending to business at his general store in Nothia Bazaar when the alleged assailants entered the shop and opened fire at him. Jagmohan Singh, a 19-year-old Sikh shopkeeper, was gunned down by unidentified assailants outside his shop in Hashtnagri on August 6.

Meanwhile, three bodies were recovered from various areas of the provincial capital.

According to Chamkani police, 65-year-old Rehan was abducted for ransom three months ago and his body was recovered from the Chamkani police jurisdiction. Also, the body of a 95-year-old was recovered from the same police jurisdiction , while a third corpse was found in the basement of a private hospital.
